Mood: waiting for wind
20th January 2006
Windsurfing: Pevensey Bay
Wind Direction: SW-W (guess)
Wind Stength: F6 easing to F4
Surf / Sea State: flattening off afer being pret
Air Temperature: chilly
Sea Temperature: cool
Weather: sunny
Max Speed: 22 (knots - unless stated otherwise)
Distance Covered:

Rigged 5.7m Expression & X-Style-Wave 109 to just to leave looking nice on the beach and then rigged 8.5mV8 & Hyper-X 130 to actually use ! Rich scored the early cross-shore bump and jump stuff, while I was on phone & Gutted was rigging.

8.5m was pretty good fun in a cross-off gusty flat water blasting kind of way ... sun was shining and it looked like a summer's day blessed with deserted beach which would be proper rare had it actually been summer.

Wind was up and down a bit, with water looking like rashers of streaky bacon, at times it was 6m weather (or smaller), but mostly it was 8.5m V8 Hyper-X 130 weather ... gps showed 22knots max (i think the big fin may have been topping out speed wise at 22knots as at times i was absolutely hanging )

i lent my navman to Gutted and he wasn't coming back in until he'd matched or beaten my speed .... thought he'd be out for weeks as wind died a bit, but then filled back in a treat and eventually he returned smiling, with 22knots max displayed on the navman ... another addict
